Saturday finally......

Well what an eventful end of the week... After my restlessness the other night.... I finally did get some sleep but only to get food poisoning on Thursday!!!! Wow!!! That was horrible. After getting a flat tire, I was running late on getting home and getting dinner started so I thought I would stop by Albertsons and buy my energy drinks (because my beloved Winco and Target didn't have them) so I figured I would just pick up some fried chicken for dinner since it was quick and ready.... Bad idea!!!! Soon after I ate the chicken I started to get sick and vomit.... It continued for a while... But I couldn't call in sick to work the next day because we had two rooms running... So I packed myself up (looking like crap!!!) and got Noah ready, and went to work... I felt like crap but got through our first case.... Then my nurse told me to go get a drink of water and rest for a bit, well I couldn't even hold down the water, so I started to vomit again..... My anesthesiologist offered to give me a shot of Zofran (an anti-nausea medicine) so she looked for a vein and realized that I was very severely dehydrated.... Well she finally got one and mainlined the zofran in..... We call it vein to brain!!!! It helped after a while, but I was still sick, and I guess I started to turn a bit green, so she said I needed and IV and lots of fluids because she thought I might pass out. So I got an Iv and about 3 bags of fluid pumped in along with an antibiotic and some other stuff for the nausea!!!! After a couple of hours of sleep, I ended up going home and just laying in bed for the rest of the night.

Today I feel a lot better.... No stomach issues... no more vomiting.. I even held down some cream of wheat and my beloved rockstar drink!!! Luckily our one case for the day cancelled at work so I've been able to just rest all morning chatting with my coworkers. Everyone left now, so I think I'll leave too but I just thought I'd sit and blog for a few minutes instead of doing it at home, that way my boys get my undivided attention!!!! It's peaceful here when everyone is gone anyways... Just quiet.. No one to distract you....

So as for this weekend, nothing planned. My cousin is having her sons birthday party tomorrow but I think I'm going to skip it so I can get some extra rest.... I think I'll send Noah with my mom though, so he can get out and have some fun..... Lets see, other plans we have in the works are Noah's b-day party probably the last Sunday in January...... Super bowl at our place with friends over, I'll be leaving on my Mexico mission trip on Feb. 8Th till the 13Th, and then Valentines day.... After that it's pretty much blank for a while...

Noah still has one more week off from school, and he'll be staying everywhere this week... One night with my mom, one night with marks dad and step mom, and two nights with his cousins at Marks brothers place.... It'll be a good way for him to finish off his Christmas vacation.... To spend some quality time with family.
