Brayden James is here!!!!!

My little nephew is born!!!! He was born yesterday June 22, 2007 at 6:40 pm He measured in at 8 lbs. 1 oz, and 21 inches long!!! Oh he is sooo cute!!! My big sis did a great job through labor... she stayed strong!!! (except for that bum leg, huh terri???) :)~ i'm so proud of her!! and so proud of the new papa jay.. I'm so excited to hang out and spoil little B!! I took pics and video last night which i will load up tonight.. I went straight from work to the hospital yesterday, then I didn't get home till late last and had to work at 645 in the am so I went straight to bed!!! so to say the least I will surely be getting tons more pics today...and will load them up later....

and then late night tonight (really tomorrow morning) i will be walking in the corona relay for life from 2-4am.... in loving memory of suzanne d wingo, my friend and coworker that lost her battle with cancer this last weekend..... the corona regional operating room just isn't the same without her smiling face! i will truly miss her....

well, i will update the pics later.... have a great weekend!!!

life other than vegas.....

i forgot to add some of the other happenings when i added the vegas pics so here goes...

to catch up on noahs tae kwon do.... he did it!!! my little guy is now an official orange belt.. there are two options when you move up to another belt... one is recommended and the other is decided.... recommended means you did well enough to pass and decided means you aced the test!!! my little guy received his belt decided so it already came with his first stripe!!! this makes me soo proud!! since i wasn't able to be at the testing or ceremony (work and then vegas trip) i didn't get to take pics..but i'll get those from my sis when she gets a chance!!

and then....my little sister mellyza graduated from canyon springs high school!!!! there were a few moments where we thought things could go the other way.... but we are so proud that she pulled it together and walked the walk that made our mommy proud!!!! here's some of those pics!!!!

the vegas trip

last weekend was marks office vegas trip as their reward for being very busy worker bees... so they flew us out to vegas, put us up at the mandalay bay and bought us a wonderful dinner at a seafood restauraunt... while there we saw the blue man group, and the phantom of the opera...(since everyone asks "what shows did you see???") blue man group was funny.... and the phantom was awesome!!! unfortunately they don't allow photography in the theaters so there are no pics of the shows, but here are some of the pics of all the good people we got to spend the weekend with and good times we had...

welcome to my blog....

ok guys.... so i am taking a page out of my sister in law melissas book and beginning this blog.... to keep everyone updated on our family..... since i don't get to see everyone as often as i would love to....

well here goes....
noah has been in tae kwon do for about two months now.... he's actually taken a huge liking to it.. he's got all his stripes for his white belt and now he will be testing for his orange belt this weekend... so wish him luck!!!! he's got his form down good, he just has to make it look clean and powerful!!!! i know he can do it...
and next week is his last day of first grade..... he will be a second grader!!!! wow!!! my little man is growing so fast!!!

mark has been out of the wal-mart scene for a year now.... time flies!!!! i love having him home on the weekends and holidays and even just during the nights... he used to have to close at wal-mart and be gone half the night if not the whole night.... so it's nice to have him home... it's truly been a wonderful change!!!

as for me... same ol' same ol'..... just older!!!! i am still working as a surgical tech... i have two jobs... one at a surgery center and one at a hospital.... my hospital job is only on saturdays... which is cool, because i get to keep my skills up on emergency cases since the surgery center is all elective surgery.... i still absolutely love my job!!!! it is definitely my calling.... the wonderful world of the operating room!!!! bright lights and cold steel...that's the life for me!
i'm sooo into music.... i love to hear live music...almost any genre.... if i could go to concerts all the time, i would be there.... but damn, tickets are getting sooo expensive!!! so i have to limit myself to the ones i can't live without!!
i am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my little nephew brayden james may.... he is due any day now!!!! can't wait to give him a big hug and a smoochie...and tell him i love him for making me a tia!! i'll definitely be posting pics of him when he makes his appearance!!!!


ok, well i hope this is a good start to a new blog..... i'll update every once in a while.... i don't think i can keep up with my sis-in-law melissa..... she's on top of it....
