just another saturday....

hey guys... i know i am completely slacking on here..i find myself with tons of things to say and tons of pics, but not enough time and energy to get it all out... i am currently at my weekend job and we have no cases today.... so i thought i would write a little on here... while i have a chance....

my weekday work has been really busy... well, we actually have been slow on cases but we have hired a new tech, that is right out of school and i've been her "mentor" (wow...i hate that word!!!) so i have been showing her the ropes and trying to teach her the docs preferences.... i am usually not a very good teacher... i seem to lose patience when others don't catch onto things as fast as i think they should...so usually i stay away from teaching new students... they are usually very very nervous and there are so many rules when you scrub in.... but i must admit, my wonderful new tech christie is sooo awesome... she jumps right in and wants to do the cases on her own with me just standing back and helping her if she asks for anything... it's a breathe of fresh air.... she totally reminds me of me when i came out of school...(i think thats why i like her more!!!) she's given me a little more confidence and made me feel like i could teach... she's great and i am so grateful to have her at our surgery center...

and my little b.... awww... still cuter than ever... i went to terris house last night and he was on the couch kind of waking up from a nap.... and i went over to say hey to him....and i smelt him before i could get to him.... ohhhhweeee...he was a stinky kid!!!! (makin his momma proud!!!hahahaha!!) so i got to hold him a while after he got a clean diaper... such a sweet kid... he sure loves being held!!!! good times!!! i love that little guy... these aren't the most recent pics, but here are a couple....

well i guess i better get back to the rest of my team here at work... we haven't had a case all day so we're just catching up on good times.... have a great weekend everyone!!!! it's going to be hot weather.......

happy monday!!!!

hey everyone... i had a great weekend... hopefully you did too.... we were busy all weekend, but it was all fun!!!
i worked on saturday, and we were busy busy!!!! after that we went to my nephews birthday party...which was fun... i got to see my sister in law that i haven't seen in a few months....
and on sunday i went with her to one of those wonderful partylite candle parties... i love the home decor stuff that they sell... so i bought some... :)~ and at the end of the day we had family dinner/bbq at my moms house... so i got to see my little nephew.... awww....he's getting big!!!! i just love holding him....
well i just got an email that had a very interesting story.... so i thought i would copy and paste it on here...because it's very true!!!!! here it is:
A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got Together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon Turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and Returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups- Porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some Expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the Coffee. When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor Said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were Taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is Normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the Source of your problems and stress. Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even Hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you Consciously went for the best cups... And then you began eyeing Each other's cups. Now consider this: Life is the coffee; The jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, And the type of cup we have does not define, nor Change the quality of Life we live. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the Coffee God has provided us. "God brews the coffee, not the Cups......... Enjoy your coffee! "The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just Make the best of everything they have." Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.
ok.... i hope you enjoyed that as much as i did.... till next time....

just a little sunday morning love.....

just thought i would stop by this morning and say that i had such a great day at work yesterday!!! we did 7 urology cases with my favorite uro surgeon dr. shepard!!! he is such a prick to everyone but has a special place in his heart for me...... i think it goes back to when i was new there and he tried to yell at me for something he did, so i yelled back and told him it was his fault... ever since then we've been buddies!! i just love a great day at work...it sets the tone for the rest of your day...
so when i came home i just relaxed for a while then we watched xmen 3 (which we've had forever but never watched it before) with noah...and after he went to bed we watched jackass 2!!! those boys are CRAAZY!!!! too funny... i almost gagged on a few stunts they did...they are sick!!!
well today we are off to visit my aunt, uncle and cousins in downey... i haven't seen them in a long while so i look foward to taking some pics of them so i can post on here....
till then, have a great day!!!

whats new in life....

hey everyone.. i hope things have been well with all of you... life is great in our neck of the woods right now... just busy with the usual work and noahs tae kwon do... and of course family fun on the weekends....

just a little update on noahs tae kwon do... he has been doing great at all his practices and he already has earned his first stripe on his orange belt... next week he will be testing for his second stripe which means he will have to do his form (series of moves) all by himself without help from master niece... we are practicing hard everyday when we get home because the orange belt form is really different from the white belt form.. and i know they will continue to get harder but i think the beginning and getting the hang of it will always be the most difficult... gotta get over that first hill, you know??

wow.. he definitely amazes me sometimes... the other day he decided to kick his little heart out... my son is not flexible by any means (that would be something he inherited from me and he actually kicked with the proper form and execution and HIGH!!! woo hooo!!! these are proud days for me.. i think i have only had to miss 2 or 3 classes since he started but him and i make sure we practice almost everyday!!! this is our together thing since daddy has to work during the classes... i love helping him and learning a little bit along the way too...

he will be starting the second grade in august and can you believe he actually wants to go back to school??? he asks me all the time to go stop by his school so we can find out what class he is going to be in... i love that fact that he is motivated for school... (that he did inherit from me... :)~ i loved and still love learning...) a second grader... wow, i'm getting old!

TRIP TO KNOTTS BERRY FARM

this past weekend was the annual company picnic for the surgery center i work at... we all voted to go to knotts berry farm again this year.... the weather was absolutely awesome... i couldn't ask for anything better!!!! the sun was shining, the crowds were tolerable, and i had my boys with me!!! yay!! i even got my hands on an extra ticket so noah could bring his buddy christian.... here are some pics from our adventure at knotts....

here's noah at the top of boomerang!!!!

and a good time was had by all.... we even finished the night off by going to fuddruckers for dinner.... mmmm.. we love it there!!!

BRAYDEN JAMES MAY
did i mention how darn cute this little guy is???? man oh man... everytime i see him i want to hold him and do the goofy baby voice gooo goo gaga to him... he will be three weeks tomorrow and he's just perfect... doing all the usual baby things... eating, sleeping, and pooping!!!! that's a babies life... i love stopping by their house and seeing him just wide-eyed and kicking around... i love my little b... here are a few pics i took of him this past monday...

and my big sis??? well she is doing great too... since she has to watch her diet for little b's sake, she has lost a lot of weight!!!! which is never an easy thing to do in our family!!! what a great example of how kids can change your life for the better!!! i am sooo proud of her!!!! what a great mommy!!!

wow, did i write a novel or what??? this weekend should be pretty mellow.... i finally get to hang out with my best bud kimmy this weekend after a month or longer of not hangin' out!!!! yay!!! i feel a few martinis coming on!!! right on!!!

this saturday will be the first of five in a row for me that i work at the hospital so hopefully we get some fun cases to keep us busy.... nothing like a good bowel resection to keep busy with... (i know, i'm sick!!)

other than that, we don't really have any other plans, so i think we'll hit the pool and catch some sun the rest of the weekend... well, talk to you guys later!!!

i would definitely like to start this post by saying thank you thank you thank you to everyone for their thoughts and prayers regarding my wonderful new nephew brayden.... he gave us a scare just the day after he came home... he had to be taken by ambulance to a hospital in la where he practically spent his whole first week in the nicu..... after many tests and just plain patience...he is home with mom and dad... and all better!!!! here are a few pics from his last night at the hospital...

and while my new nephew was getting used to being home.. mark noah and i spent sunday with the DeMers' (that includes my adpoted asian brother teddie b) having an early 4th of july and congratulations michelle party!!! michelle just graduated high school and will be off to the air force in a month!!! how exciting.... here are some pics from our day together... a few margaritas, a little bbq, and a little swimming... can't beat that on a hot summer day!!!
