September 11th

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I remember I was at work and had just taken my break and walked into the lounge when the first plane had hit. I had such a sinking feeling of fear in my stomach when I saw the video. I was scared. Then the second plane hit. I held back my tears and went back in to the OR. I told the crew what I had just seen and we were all silent. By the time we got done with our case, we all went into the lounge and watched the news for a bit. After we heard the update on all the planes and the plan behind it, I was in shock that something like this could happen.
This is such a day of infamy to this country, and especially to the younger kids who weren't alive or don't remember any of the other wars in this country. The day our sense of security was shaken so strongly by people who are out of their minds! The day that so many people died, and this country showed such an enormous amount of courage and strength to help save others that they would never know and never meet. Every time I think about all those people, I remember visiting ground zero, and feeling that overwhelming sadness and loss, especially when we saw the paintings and pictures some of the children drew about their family members, I just couldn't hold back the tears... It was so sad! Life changing! Today I remember all those people that died that day, and all those LUCKY and BRAVE people that risked their lives to save as many others as they could. You will always be remembered. and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Sept 11th goes down in history. In more ways than one for me. But I'll never forget that particular day either. I don't think anyone will. Such a tragic day.

Thank GOD for all of the police, firefighters, military and everyone involved to make our COUNTRY a better place.

God bless America...
