A Great Weekend....

Friday at work, we got done earlier than we had anticipated, so needless to say I was happy about that!!! I took the canyon home as I usually do, but I guess I should have know better than to do that when it was raining as hard as it was. The canyon was flooded and I think there were 3 times when I thought to myself that I should just turn around and go all the way around. But by the time I thought that the third time, I was already heading back up the hill, so I said forget about it. The worst is over.... Once I got home, my friend Polly came over with her 2 cute kids Jacob and Jennifer. The kids played and we had Ono Hawaiian BBQ for dinner. Then my big sis stopped by with Brayden and we all played a little guitar hero. Good times. (Hopefully we get to do that more often, Polly!!!) After everyone took off, Mark and I played some more guitar hero till midnight, then called it a night so I could get some sleep for work in the morning.

Saturday was work as usual. We only had one case, and it went really smooth!! It was with one of my fav docs and his wonderful PA Monica came to help us too. It was just like old times!!! I was able to come home a little bit early since we didn't have anything else on the books. And that was cool with me because we had company coming over again.

On Saturday, it was both of Marks brothers and their families coming over to watch the USC-UCLA game. Don't ask me anything about it. I wasn't really watching!!!! Hahahahaha!!! I was feeling tired from the night before and from work, so I wasn't really into watching the game. But I got some of my crochet project done, and played a little guitar hero with everyone. Did some dishes, and when Mark and his brother started playing a football game, I couldn't control my eyes anymore. I was out for the count!!! Oh well, can't stay up for them all!!!!

We woke up Sunday to my phone ringing and the dog whining because he wanted out of his crate!!! He had to be in his crate for most of the day yesterday because our little niece Emma was over and we didn't want him to jump on her. So we let him out, answered the phone calls, and off we were to get some puppy food and treats at Petsmart. We walked Obi around the store but he hates walking on the tile in the store, so we took him outside and just walked along the shopping center. He had a great time, and we had fun watching people smile when they saw him. He's a people pleaser. We took him on a few other errands we had to run, and then just came home and have been relaxing ever since. It's 65 degrees in our house, and it feels great!!! I love the cold weather. Mark and I were even talking about what cold states we could live in. I love the cold, but doubt that I could even attempt to drive in the snow, and Mark wouldn't like somewhere that constantly rained. So, maybe someday we'll find a happy medium...

As for this coming week, it's work as usual, back to Tae Kwon Do on Tues., Thurs. and Fri. Friday is my hospital Christmas party at the Eagle Glen Country Club. (This place is always fun!) Saturday I work (of course) but in the night we are going to celebrate Kimmy's b-day by going to Matt's (from Hobo Jazz) Cd release at the Fender Museum in Corona, and then head out to the vault for an after party.... Should be great!!! Again, Sunday will be a day of relaxation!!!

What more can I pack into a week like that??? I don't know, but stay tuned and find out because something always comes up!!!

OK, I've got to get ready for work!!! Have a great week everyone!!! Stay warm!!! I made some whipped cream yesterday, so I think I'll make some hot chocolate right now, and put some of that on top!!! Yummy!!!!
